Snow stops play

26 Apr 2016 by Paul Whitehead

Snow stopped play at cricket matches today as an unseasonable cold snap prompted bookies to slash the odds on this month becoming the coldest April on record.

Play was suspended at Edgbaston, the Hampshire Ageas Bowl and Surrey County Cricket Club as snow flurries arrived at lunchtime.

Forecast is for a balmy 4C for tonight’s senior practice!
