A message from Forthill Community Sports Club President Ryan Watson …

“I hope you are enjoying the last of the summer sunshine, Pimms, Cricket and Tennis but not necessarily in that order. For others, I hope you’ve had a good break – your season is just coming to life. You will hopefully have completed your pre-season training, dusted down the old rugby and hockey boots, treated yourself to that new squash racquet or tinkered with your favourite table tennis bat! Whatever your sport, I wish you and your teams the very best of luck. To those that have just wound up your season, enjoy your rest and recovery period – but don’t become strangers to Forthill.

There are two major fundraising initiatives this year to help with finances and allow investment in the facilities at Forthill so we have a clubhouse to be proud of. The first is the EPOS & loyalty card system which is now up, running and ready for you to subscribe to.

The second is the ‘PRIDE IN FORTHILL BALL’ for which we are also looking for auction and raffle prizes so if you can help, please contact Kenny.

As mentioned in my previous letters, and it’s a drum I will keep beating, we all need to start working together and putting aside our individual club interests. I see the ‘PRIDE IN FORTHILL BALL’ as a great opportunity to bring all the clubs and components together for one big, fun filled mash-up. So what are you waiting for?
